three reasons why I love interactive project life

I love making interactive Project Life spreads. My kiddos think its great too when they lift the flap too.

Heres three reasons why:

Reason 1: I love that it can hide photos that are perhaps not all that appealing, yet the photo needs to be there to tell the story.

Reason 2: Its a great way to use up pretty Project Life cards, even if their are cards vertical, like the 4 x 6 yet my page doesnt have a space for a 4 x 6 vertical card

Reason 3: Most of the Project life cards in the Hip kit are exclusive and so pretty taht I dont want to cover them. Its the same as sentiments on the project life cards, there just pretty. Use them as a flap.

Relax and create!!

Oh I love the July Hip kit! Its so pretty full of exclusives! My favorite kit, well, at least till August kit arrives, then that will be my favorite. Tee hee

I have used the sketch from the Hip kit forum for the 8th August. Pop over and have a look. You will see that I have flipped the sketch 90'c.

I had a thing for circles, so I ran with the idea and love love love how it turned out. I simply punched out some circles at the bottom. Then I filled them in with embellishments and making a cute pie chart.

I've been admiring the pie charts for a while, so I was excited to finally do them and now you wont stop me!! tee hee.

The brads in the kit were perfect for holding the pie chart together.  Of course its not a finished project unless there is some hand stiching and machine stitching.

I also used the exclusive chipboard, puffy stickers and wood embellishments that the gorgeous Kim Watson deisgned.

Can't stop the feeling.

Who's loving all the exclusive products in the July Hip kits? I certainly let out a few little squeals of excitement as I stifled through them.

This is my first project with the kits, so when I opened all the products, I seriously didn't know where to start, I wanted to use it all, but then part of me was like "save that for a special project!" Ha ha, that never happens uh, all projects should be special because we freezing and documenting the moment, right?.

Once I got over all those thoughts, I just had fun and let my page take me wherever it desired.
I loved all the Shimmerz Vibez and the tags in the colour kit, so I started with that thought.

Then I was drawn to all the patterns in the papers and fussy cut a few out. Then it was simply at matter of relaxing and just enjoying the kits.

I'm a bit smitten with this page, its hung on my wall already, and cant wait to play with the kit again.

Have a lovely creative week!

Them frames!!

I was pretty excited to be given the task  from Hip Kits to use of 'frames', because those Vicki Boutin frames in the June kit are so pretty! I wanted to use them all, I tried!! Tee hee.

I wasn't real sure of my design of this page when I started, but I did know I wanted to frame a series of photos. Instead of having all faces in the frames, i cropped out some details in my daughter clothing. This also adds more colour to the page and different detail.

I've always admire the 'sun ray' design in many projects, so I decided to give that a try with the frames. I love how it turned out.

Its a very busy design for me, but I love the colour and all the details.

half way through the year with Project life!!

Just popping in today to share a cute Project Life page using the Hip Kit June project life kit. I love all the exclusive cards again, so unique and bright!

Tons of embellishments to choose from, lots of journal spots and stickers. Sure makes putting project life pages together easy.

Half way through the year as still upto date with the kids albums. Miracles do happen uh!! Tee hee
Hows everyone else going with Project life this year?

Happy, cute colourful pretty things!

Oh its fun to document memories. I know a lot these there, I wouldnt be able to remember if its wasnt for Project life.

There were a few photos that I need to include in this page, but thate weren't real eye catching! So I deceided to use the exclusive project life cards as little flaps. Not only is intereactive, but its fun.

I held the little flaps together with some simple blanket stitching. Looks a bit cute I think!

Just by simply hiding 'unattractive' photos, gives more opportunity to make things look prettier!!

Heres the little process video too.

Its Friday!!

I am so excited to share with you this super cute Mini album I have made using the June Hip Kit.

I used there one of the exclusive Project Life cards, and turned it into a flap to hide a little bit of journaling. I have held the flap down with some hand stitching.

Then I created another little flap for more interaction and interest with some of the papers in the main kit, and finished it off with that cute wooden circle piece. Again I used hand stitching to hold it together and some machine zig zag stitching.

I loved the sticker sheet from Crate Paper, Oasis collection, there some really nice words that allowed me to tell the story with them.

I then created a little pocket to pop in extra photos and jorunalling too. Decorated with that cute puffy sticker from Bella Bl'vd.

Then onto the other side of the album. I  hand cut out some of the scallops from Pink Pasilee and layed them on, finished off with some embellishing.

There we have the other side! Its so bright, colourful and interactive. I love it!!

Here is the process video of my mini album.
